2025年11月26日、武蔵大学で開催された、2025 SDGs 17 Partnership Fairに参加してきました。

JFCネットワークは3回目の参加となりますが、今回は初めて学生さんにアンケートを取ってみました。

１つ目は、JFC(Japanese Filipino children)を知っていますか？という質問です。

ゼミや日本語教室を開催している学生団体の活動を通して知っているという学生さんがいましたが、一番多いのは、KFC（ケンタッキーフライドチキン）なら知っている！という回答でした。

オーストラリア出身の学生さんも何人かいたのですが、オーストラリア男性とフィリピン人女性との間に生まれた子どもなら知っていると話していた学生さんもいました。

オーストラリアでは、探求学習の授業でそのような子どもたちのことを学習する学校もあるそうです。

多くの学生さんがJFCは知らない（ケンタッキーなら知っている）という回答でしたので、このような機会を通して、JFCの子どもたちの存在を知ってもらうことは大切だと思いました。

２つ目は、どのようなことに興味がありますか？という質問です。

当団体の活動に関係がある、人権・移民・フィリピン・教育・NGO/NPO・差別・ジェンダーから選んでもらいました。

社会問題に関心が高い学生さんが多く、１つ選ぶのは難しいとのことで、複数選んでいた学生さんが多かったです。

Human rigntsという授業がある、移民のニュースが気になっている、将来教員を目指していて教育に興味がある、フィリピンに留学していたなどと、様々な声を聴くことができました。

On November 26, 2025, we participated in the 2025 SDGs 17 Partnership Fair held at Musashi University.

This was JFC Network’s third time participating, and this time we tried conducting a survey with students for the first time.

The first question was: Do you know about JFC (Japanese Filipino Children)?

Some students knew about it through student group activities like seminars or Japanese language classes, but the most common response was, “I know KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken)!”

There were also several students from Australia. One mentioned knowing about children born to Australian men and Filipino women.

In Australia, some schools apparently teach about such children in exploratory learning classes.

Since many students said they didn’t know about JFC (though they knew about Kentucky), we felt it was important to use this opportunity to raise awareness about JFC.

The second question was: What are you interested in?

We asked them to choose from topics related to our organization’s activities: human rights, immigration, the Philippines, education, NGOs/NPOs, discrimination, and gender.

Many students showed high interest in social issues, finding it difficult to choose just one topic, so many selected multiple options.

We heard various voices: some mentioned taking a class on human rights, others said they follow immigration news, some expressed interest in education as they plan to become teachers, and others shared experiences studying abroad in the Philippines.

Once again, we saw many students deeply interested in social issues, and it was great that this event provided an opportunity for such students to learn about JFC.
