2025年12月14日(日）、こども教育宝仙大学を会場にJFCネットワークのクリスマス会を開催しました。（※English is below）

午前中、雨というコンディションの悪さもありましたがJFC(子どもやユース）、フィリピン人のお母さんや友人たち、サポーターや弁護士さん、その他、関係団体の皆さんなど、1歳～70代の様々な方々が集まりました。

会場は風船アートのデコレーションで華やかに飾られ、たくさんの持ち寄りの料理が並びました。

最初にJFCネットワークの理事長から、「外国にルーツを持つ人にとって、今の日本の状況は厳しいものです・・・・・でも、まずは今日は楽しく一緒に時を過ごしましょう！」と挨拶があり、その後、恒例のゲームで楽しく盛り上がりました。タガログ語と日本語の伝言ゲーム、並べ替えゲームなど、コミュニケ―ションを取らないとできないゲームで会場も和やかな雰囲気となっていました。その後も椅子取りゲーム、ビンゴ大会(プレゼントを寄贈してくださった皆様、ありがとうございました！）、ビートボクサーの長谷川大地さんの生演奏などが繰り広げられました。その後、未成年の子どもたちにはサンタさんからのプレゼントが配られました。

今年のクリスマス会を中心になって運営してくれたのは、JFCユースワークショップに参加しているJFCユース達、日頃インターン生として事務所で翻訳などを手伝ってくれている学生の皆さんたち若手メンバーでした。準備、運営、片付け迄てきぱきと動いてくれ、また来日したばかりのJFCユースの子には、日本の情報を提供するなど頼もしい限りでした。かつて、このクリスマス会を盛り上げたのは、フィリピン人の母世代でしたが、頼もしい次世代の台頭に本当にうれしくなりました。

さて、最後に、どれもこれも本当においしかった持ち寄り料理の料理対象の発表です。

今まで母世代のお料理が上位を独占していましたが、なんとユースのお料理がいきなり1位！これ、本当においしかったです。

最後に2021年に亡くなったマリガヤハウスの尚子さんが好きだった曲、You raise me upを皆で歌って、終わりました。

On Sunday, December 14, 2025, we held the JFC Network Christmas Party at the Kodomo Kyōiku Hōsen University venue.

Despite rainy conditions in the morning, various participants gathered—from children and youth (JFC), Filipino mothers and friends, supporters and lawyers, to members of related organizations—ranging in age from 1 to their 70s.

The venue was brightly decorated with balloon art, and a variety of potluck dishes were laid out.

The JFC Network Chairperson opened with a greeting: “The current situation in Japan is tough for those with foreign roots… But let’s just enjoy spending time together today!” This was followed by the usual games, which got everyone excited. Games like the Tagalog-Japanese message relay and word rearrangement required communication, creating a warm atmosphere throughout the venue. Subsequent activities included musical chairs, a bingo game (thank you to everyone who donated prizes!), and a performance by beatboxer Daichi Hasegawa. Afterwards, Santa distributed gifts to the children under age 18.

This year’s Christmas party was primarily organized and run by the JFC Youth members participating in the JFC Youth Workshop, along with the young student members who regularly assist with translation and other tasks as interns at the office. They worked efficiently throughout the preparation, operation, and cleanup. They were also incredibly reliable, providing information about Japan to the JFC Youth who had just arrived. While the mothers’ generation from the Philippines used to be the main force behind this Christmas party, seeing this promising next generation step up was truly heartwarming.
Finally, here are the winners of the potluck cooking contest, where every dish was absolutely delicious.

While the mothers’ generation had dominated the top spots until now, a youth dish suddenly took first place! This was truly delicious.

Finally, we ended by singing “You Raise Me Up,” a song beloved by Shoko-san of Marigaya House, who passed away in 2021.
