大学2年生の時にDot-JPからインターン生として2か月間、来て下さり、その後も継続して週に1日来てくださっていました。大学生活はコロナ禍の真っただ中で大学のプログラムの一環だった留学にも行けなくなり活動がいろいろ制限されてしまった中でも「何ができるか」をいつも前向きに考えてできることを実行していました。

大学のゼミでは移民コースに所属し、JFCをテーマに卒論を書くためにJFCたちにインタビュをしたり、マリガヤハウスを訪問したりと精力的に取り組んでいました。

JFCネットワークのインターンのお仕事は翻訳が中心の地味な業務になりますが、一つひとつの作業が丁寧で一つひとつの仕事に自身で意義を見出しているような仕事ぶりがとても好感をもてました。

4月からは社会人ですね。みずきさんならどこにいっても素晴らしい活躍をしてくれると信じています。みずきさんがいなくなってしまうのはとても寂しいですが、今後の活躍に心から応援しています。

On March 22 (Thursday), it was the last day of Mizuki’s internship. She had come to our office for two months as an intern from Dot-JP when she was a second-year university student, and had continued to come one day a week since then. Even though she was restricted in many activities during her college life because of the covid-19, she always tried to think positively about “what she could do” and did what she could do.

In the university, she was a member of the immigration course and was actively engaged in interviewing JFCs and visiting Maligaya House in order to write her thesis on JFCs.

Although the work of JFC Network interns is mainly translating, which is a kind of plain work, we really liked the way she worked, as if she was very careful and confident in each task and found meaning in each one of them.

She is going to be a working in April, We believe that Mizuki will do a wonderful job no matter where she goes. We will miss Mizuki very much, but we are sincerely cheering her on in her future achievements.
