このフェスの目的は、JFCを取り巻く様々な問題を多くの人達に知ってもらうこと、そして、JFCネットワークの活動のファンを増やすことにありました。今回のフェスでは、司会も通訳もJFCが務め、パフォーマーのうち2人はJFCでした。ビートボックス、ギター演奏、ループステーション等、それぞれのパフォーマーはとても個性的で素晴らしいパフォーマンスを奏でて下さいました。10代～70代まで、いろいろな人たちが集まって下さり、このフェスがなければ集まらなかっただろう人たちが顔を会わせ、その不統一感がユニークな空間を作り上げていて、それがなんとも心地よかったです。

フェスの最後にJFCユースの司会者から署名へのお願いをしました。それは、JFCのように複数国籍で生まれ育った人たちの人権とアイデンティティを守るため国籍選択義務の見直し（国籍法第14条の改正）を求めるものです。

音楽を通じて、さまざまな人たちが集い語らうことから、新たな出会いや共感が生み出されていくと感じています。

On Sunday, October 11, 2026, we held the Japan-Philippines Exchange Music Festival! The purpose of this festival was to raise awareness among the public about the various issues facing JFCs (Japanese-Filipino Children) and to grow the fans of the JFC Network’s activities. At this festival, JFCs served as both emcees and interpreters, and two of the performers were JFCs. Each performer—whether beatbox, playing guitar, or using a loop station—brought their own unique style to deliver wonderful performances. People ranging in age from their teens to their 70s gathered together; it was a group that likely wouldn’t have come together without this festival. This diverse mix created a unique atmosphere that felt incredibly comfortable.

At the end of the festival, a JFC Youth emcee asked the audience to sign a petition. The petition calls for a review of the mandatory choice of nationality requirement (amendment to Article 14 of the Nationality Act) to protect the human rights and identities of people like those in JFC who were born and raised with multiple nationalities.

We believe that when diverse people come together and converse through music, it leads new encounters and a sense of shared understanding.
